Continuing Care Retirement Community

Omaha, Nebraska. Jesse McConnell’s Master Degree thesis was a complete planning and schematic design project for a Continuing Care Retirement Center (CCRC) in downtown Omaha. The process was comprehensive; merging the planning process with architectural design in order to create a cohesive project. Work for this project included demographics, traffic analysis, trade area study, site evaluation, and schematic architectural design. The site analysis included a zoning study, access to transportation, proximity to services, visibility, floodplain, brownfield assessment, and lead contamination.
