Grace Fellowship Church

Elkhorn, Nebraska. The original design of this church provided approximately 16,000 square feet on the main floor and 9,000 square feet in the basement with a walkout exit/entrance at grade. The worship space was designed to accommodate over 400 people on the main floor with an additional 150 seats in a balcony that overlooked the main worship space. The design included a serving kitchen with pass thru windows communicating to both a café area in a large gathering space and a fellowship hall on the opposite side. Pastoral and church offices were also situated on the main floor. An elevator was included to allow handicapped access to the lower level. The 9,000 square foot lower level was to be left largely unfinished, for future use as classroom and activity areas.

As the Owner’s fund raising efforts were ongoing, the project scope and programing requirements were adjusted accordingly. As a result our firm provided multiple design solutions to meet a variety of budget solutions. Each design solution was carefully planned to be a direct response to the available budget.
